Dyalá Jiménez specializes in international arbitration. She has been appointed sole arbitrator and president of the tribunal in ICC and ad hoc international arbitrations. She has also acted as administrative secretary in a complex ICC arbitration with seat in Paris.
As counsel, she has represented parties in cases governed by the ICC Rules of Arbitration and the AAA Commercial Arbitration Rules, administered by the ICDR. She has also acted as counsel in an ICSID arbitration representing a Chilean investor against the Bolivian State.
Dyalá has participated in the setting aside proceedings against an ICC international award rendered in Santiago and has rendered a legal opinion in an arbitration under the auspices of Chilean arbitration center CAM Santiago.
For two consecutive years, the Legal Who’s Who distinguished Dyalá as one of the five top experts in international arbitration in Chile in its annual publication “The International Who’s Who of Commercial Arbitration”. The International Who’s Who of Commercial Litigation also distinguished her in 2011, as did Chambers & Partners, recognizing Dyalá as a notable practitioner. A founding member of the ICC Latin American Arbitration Group, the International Arbitration Institute (IAI), and the Asociación Latinoamericana de Arbitraje, Dyalá is often invited to participate as speaker in international conferences and seminars.
Dyalá Jiménez is visiting professor of International Commercial Arbitration at the Law School of the prestigious Universidad de Chile. Since 2004 she teaches the course on “International Arbitration under the ICC Rules of Arbitration” for the joint LL.M. Program of Heidelberg University-Universidad de Chile.
