Juan Esteban Pacheco

Juan Esteban is a Colombian lawyer with a consolidated practice in international arbitration and dispute resolution. He has acted as secretary to arbitral tribunals and as counsel in institutional and ad hoc proceedings conducted under the rules of the leading arbitral institutions.

Prior to joining DJ, he practiced for more than five years in the dispute resolution teams of leading law firms, handling shareholder, unfair competition, intellectual property and SEP, commercial agency, and contractual disputes across the telecommunications, media, technology, and construction sectors. He holds an LL.M. in International Commercial Arbitration (ICAL) from Stockholm University and a postgraduate degree in business law, and completed his law degree at Universidad del Rosario (Colombia), with focus studies on commercial and international law.

He routinely works in Spanish and English, and also speaks Italian. He teaches courses on International Contracts and is an active contributor to the international arbitration community, with publications in both English and Spanish.
